*Press ready PDFs are acceptable and will produce quality printing if it was properly created, and if it passes our Adobe Acrobat Preflighting. Usually, we prefer to have the native files so we can make any changes or corrections to the files that you may need.
Before You Send Files:
Avoid errors, delays, and additional costs by checking your files before you send them. Over 80% of files sent to printers have errors. Here are just a few tips, you can also refer to Designer Resources for more information.
? Ensure all RGB images have been converted to CMYK. (RGB to CMYK does involve a color shift.)? For full color printing, make sure your PMS colors have been converted to CMYK. (You can also do this in Ink Manager in Adobe Acrobat.)? For your images to appear clear and crisp, they need to be 300 dpi at the size they are printing at. Images copied off internet websites are 72dpi and should not be used in printed materials.? Ensure that your document size is correct and that you have included bleed area. (ex. If using a web press to print your order it has a common size of 8.375 x 10.875 not 8.5×11.)? Leave your fonts intact if you anticipate that we may need to do editing for you. Otherwise it is best to convert fonts to outlines or embed them.? Keep text at least 1/8? away from the edge of the finished piece.? Press ready PDFs are acceptable, if they were created correctly. If you are unsure, always send your native files.? For tshirt artwork, it is always better if you can send vector files to avoid extra charges. Each color will need to be separated out and isolated from the rest of the image and set up as a separate plate or screen. The number of screens required to produce the job determines the cost to print.? For larger format such as banners, vehicle wraps, billboards, backdrops, you can send vector art or photoshop files. Create the file at 300dpi and when finished, reduce the file size down by 25% before sending.
